This weekend as the weather shifted into full fledged summer heat, Katie & Erik celebrated their wedding with bold, bright, beautiful, summery colors. I was so excited to work with huge, gorgeous coral charm peonies, roses in oranges, pinks, and peach, along with fragrant feverfew, and lots of fresh foraged greenery. The heat presented us with quite a challenge- it’s hard to keep flowers happy when it’s 90 degrees in the shade. We kept everything as cool as possible until the last moment and then watched as the heat opened up every last peony into their full glory just in time for the wedding!

Katie’s bouquet was a stunner. Garden roses, orange ranunculus, green hypericum berries, white peonies, and solomon seal were nestled in around showstopping coral charm peonies. Her bridesmaid’s carried soft pink and white bouquets with roses, peonies, and delicate sweet peas.

Bright citrus swag   DSCF4504DSCF4511 For the centerpieces, we used white lanterns surrounded by a wild garland of ivy and greenery with bright pops of color on either side. We strung tiny lights through the flowers and sprinkled lemons, limes, and kumquats throughout to complete the citrus theme.
